I had to laugh reading your “Pictures Reveal the Ugly Truth” post. Yes, my little one wakes up at 6am (if we’re lucky, if not it’s more like 5:30am). So the description of your morning was right on 
I work from my family room. Actually, not even from a room itself, but from a converted closet. It also serves as my scrapbooking desk, bill-paying station and storage for my little one’s favorite DVDs. But don’t be fooled by the attached picture. The only reason it looks all neat and organized is because in reality I work from an adjacent couch most of the time. After my little one is in bed, I power up my laptop, sit back, put my feet up (great sturdy coffee table is a must in my household) and work-work-work.

I have a “little one” who wakes me up at 5:30 AM also…my white Schnauzer-Pomeranian mix dog! Yes, she is spoiled, but it’s a good excuse to get out of bed and get an early start working online.
